We are excited to have partnered with Emily Henderson on her Portland Project in the coveted Dunthorpe neighborhood. Emily, who is a best-selling author, TV host and Target home stylist, transformed this 1980’s ranch-style house into a three-story dream home. Her transitional design style marries traditional, vintage, and modern to create a look that is distinctively hers. Throughout the home you can spot our Fashion Forward interior doors, Option {M} Modern Farmhouse shiplap, and Very Square trim leaving you with all the trimspiration!
The above staircase is a showstopper! This artistic use of trim to create this modern look adds so much character and shows off Emily’s unique style. Using flat stock, she created a contemporary grid pattern that leads you to the second floor.
In this cozy room, Emily was able to merge a vintage style that still speaks to many of today’s contemporary trends. By pairing the crisp lines of our Very Square Collection with a vintage, yet whimsical wallpaper, she was able to create a sophisticated and polished look that makes you want to curl up and read a book.
Emily describes her inspiration for the second-floor powder room as “classic traditional with modern and fun touches.” We love how Emily was able to use our shiplap in a new and exciting way! By using it vertically and painting it a moody blue, she was able to give the room a transitional look.
By pairing the curved lines of our Fashion Forward door with the clean, crisp design of our Very Square baseboard and casing, she created a look that is sophisticated and fun at the same time!
We are pleased to have had the opportunity to partner with Emily and her team! This renovation showcases how our products have the ability to help transform a room. Something like crown moulding is a great way to give a room a polished and clean look without breaking the bank! In fact, check out our ROI infographic, which shares the best home improvement projects that’ll add value to your home!
We can’t wait to see what Emily does next! Let us know what your thoughts are down below, and be sure to come back to The Finished Space for more inspiring updates.
